RIVERSIDE, Calif.
In a decisive matchup, Joel Armotrading registered 16 points, leading UC Riverside to a comfortable 78-55 victory over NAIA opponent Saint Francis (IL) on Sunday evening.
Armotrading not only excelled in scoring but also added six rebounds and three blocks to his team’s effort, contributing significantly to the Highlanders’ success this season as they improved to a 7-4 overall record and 2-0 in the Big West Conference.

Barrington Hargress provided additional support with an impressive shooting performance, hitting 6 of 8 shots, including two three-pointers, to finish the game with 14 points. Meanwhile, Kaleb Smith also made his mark, converting 5 of 10 attempts from the field, and ending the night with 10 points, showcasing a well-rounded team effort.

On the other end, the Fighting Saints were led by Aitor Anabitarte, who topped the scoresheet with 23 points. Nick Niego contributed with 11 points, while Rahmel Davis chipped in with eight, but their efforts weren’t enough to keep pace with the Highlanders.
