Kering has officially announced that Louise Trotter will be the new creative director for Bottega Veneta, succeeding Matthieu Blazy.
Trotter, who has been the creative director at Carven since February 2023, is set to begin her new role at Bottega Veneta at the end of January 2025.
Known for her ability to draw from everyday life and her attention to craftsmanship, Trotter’s appointment follows a recent release from Kering and Bottega Veneta highlighting her design prowess.
Leo Rongone, the CEO of Bottega Veneta, voiced his confidence in Trotter’s capabilities, suggesting that her refined perspective will enable the brand to honor its heritage while maintaining a modern appeal.
Kering took the opportunity to express gratitude toward Blazy for his impactful contributions during his three-year tenure, during which he brought a sense of playfulness and innovation in how leather was presented, thereby enriching Bottega Veneta’s essence.
It was also clarified in the announcement that Trotter will officially take over at the conclusion of January 2025, correcting earlier information about her start date.
