ORLANDO, Fla. — In a commanding performance on Thursday night, Atin Wright led the North Texas Mean Green to a decisive 68-48 victory over the Northern Iowa Panthers during the NIT Season Tip-Off. Wright finished the game with 18 points, showcasing his sharpshooting skills by making 7 of 15 attempts, including 3 of 8 from three-point range.

Latrell Jossell also made significant contributions, scoring 15 points with an impressive 4 of 9 shooting from the field, in addition to going a perfect 6 for 6 at the free-throw line. Jasper Floyd rounded out the scoring effort for North Texas with 12 points, hitting 5 of 6 shots from the floor.

On the other side, Northern Iowa struggled offensively but had Ben Schwieger as their standout player, who tallied 13 points. Teammates Leon Bond III and Jacob Hutson each contributed with eight points. Bond III also grabbed eight rebounds, providing some assistance on the boards for the Panthers.

North Texas seized control early in the matchup, taking the lead just 19 seconds into the game and holding onto it for the remainder of the contest. Wright spearheaded the first-half offense, scoring 10 points and helping his team establish a solid 34-21 advantage by halftime. The Mean Green continued to build on their lead in the second half, outpacing Northern Iowa by an additional seven points, while Jossell led the team with 13 points in that period.
