In a thrilling matchup on Friday night, the UC Irvine Anteaters emerged victorious against the Weber State Wildcats, clinching a 93-87 win in Ogden, Utah.
Bent Leuchten was the standout performer for UC Irvine, contributing an impressive 29 points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks to lead his team to its fifth consecutive victory, bringing their season record to 5-0.
Supporting Leuchten, Justin Hohn also had a notable game, scoring 21 points and recording six assists, while Devin Tillis complemented the effort by going a perfect 6 for 6 from the floor, finishing the night with 15 points and another 11 rebounds.
On the other side of the court, the Wildcats, now sitting at 1-4 for the season, had Blaise Threatt leading the scoring efforts. Threatt totaled 22 points and contributed six assists along with three steals.
Dyson Koehler was also a key player for Weber State, adding 17 points to the scoreboard. Meanwhile, Vasilije Vucinic chipped in with 12 points and made an impact defensively with two steals.
