Conway, S.C. — In an exciting matchup on Friday night, Zek Montgomery played a pivotal role in Bradley’s 77-74 win against Wright State.
Montgomery showcased his skills by scoring 19 points, draining 7 of 13 attempts from the field, which included an impressive 3 for 4 from beyond the arc. The Braves improved their record to 5-1 thanks to solid contributions from their teammates.
Almar Atlason contributed 12 points with a shooting performance of 4 for 7 overall and hitting 2 of 4 from three-point territory, alongside making 2 of his 3 free-throw attempts. Additionally, Ahmet Jonovic chipped in with 11 points, shooting an efficient 5 for 6 from the floor.
On the other side, the Raiders, who now stand at 4-3, were spearheaded by Brandon Noel, who notched an impressive 26 points. Jack Doumbia also made his mark by scoring 16 points and adding four steals to his tally. Alex Huibregste added 13 points along with four assists and two steals.
Montgomery established his presence early on by scoring 12 points in the first half; however, the Braves entered halftime trailing by a slight margin of 37-35. The second half saw Bradley showcase their determination as they executed a critical 10-2 run, which propelled them to a 76-71 lead with just over a minute left on the clock. Jonovic was instrumental during this period, adding seven points in the second half to assist in securing the victory for the Braves.
