TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Shaqir O’Neal led Florida A&M to a decisive victory against Trinity Baptist, scoring 26 points in their 110-68 triumph on Friday evening.
In addition to his scoring, O’Neal recorded nine rebounds and contributed four blocks to help the Rattlers improve their record to 1-4 for the season. Milton Matthews had a productive night as well, netting 21 points with an impressive shooting performance—going 7 for 11 overall and 5 for 9 from three-point territory. Meanwhile, Sterling Young also made an impact by scoring 17 points, hitting 5 of 10 shots, including 3 of 6 from long range, and sinking 4 of 6 free throws.
For Trinity Baptist, Xavier Rose was the standout performer, finishing with 23 points and providing four assists. Jacquez Anderson added 11 points to the Eagles’ tally, while Diego Fernandez contributed 10 points and four assists of his own.
This victory marks a significant boost for the Rattlers, showcasing their offensive capabilities and teamwork on the court.
