MURRAY, Ky. — Nick Ellington contributed significantly to Murray State’s victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Wednesday night, finishing the game with 19 points.
In addition to his scoring, Ellington secured six rebounds, supporting the Racers, who improved their record to 3-1 this season.
KyeRon Lindsay also had a commendable performance, scoring 13 points while successfully making four out of eight field goals and perfectly hitting all five of his free throws, contributing 12 rebounds as well.
AJ Ferguson matched Lindsay’s 13 points, showcasing efficiency by going 5 of 6 from the floor, though he missed some opportunities at the free-throw line, converting only 2 of 6.

On the opposing side, Ketron Shaw was the standout player for the Hawks, notching 24 points and grabbing seven rebounds.
His teammate, Evan Johnson, also made an impact by putting up 23 points, while Cardell Bailey contributed five to the scoreboard.

The turning point in the game came with 2:22 remaining in the first half when Murray State took the lead and maintained it for the remainder of the contest.
Kylen Milton played a pivotal role during this segment, scoring nine points in the first half, helping his team take a 36-30 lead by halftime.
Murray State continued to dominate after the break, outscoring Maryland-Eastern Shore by a margin of 12 points in the second half, with Ellington adding an impressive 11 points during this period.
