WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday, Augustinas Kiudulas played a key role in VMI’s triumph over Charleston Southern, contributing 22 points to the team’s 80-69 victory.
Kiudulas showcased his shooting skills by going 9 for 15 overall, which included hitting 2 out of 5 attempts from beyond the arc. He also made 2 of his 4 free throw attempts, helping the Keydets improve their record to 4-1 for the season. In addition to Kiudulas, Tan Yildizoglu had a strong performance with 17 points, complemented by five rebounds and six assists.
Rickey Bradley, Jr. contributed 11 points to the team’s success, although he faced challenges with his shooting, hitting only 3 of his 10 attempts, including a tough outing from 3-point range where he missed all three shots. Nevertheless, he was effective at the free-throw line, sinking 5 out of 6 attempts.
On the opposing side, Reis Jones stood out for the Buccaneers, racking up an impressive 21 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. RJ Johnson also made his presence felt with 15 points, six assists, and two steals, while Taje’ Kelly added another 10 points to the scoreboard, though the team struggled overall, falling to a record of 1-4.
