TOLEDO, Ohio — On Wednesday night, Sonny Wilson made a significant impact on the court, scoring 20 points to help propel the Toledo Rockets to an 86-77 victory over Wright State.
Wilson also contributed eight rebounds to the team’s efforts. His performance was complemented by Isaiah Adams, who had a solid outing, making 8 of 13 shots, including 2 of 3 from beyond the arc, to finish with 18 points.
Additionally, Seth Hubbard added to the scoreboard with 15 points, shooting 5 for 10 overall and hitting 1 of 3 from three-point range, while also converting 4 of 5 free-throw attempts.
For the Wright State Raiders, Brandon Noel led his team with an impressive 24 points along with nine rebounds.
Alex Huibregste contributed 16 points and six rebounds, showcasing his skills in the game.
The turning point for Toledo came during a strong 13-2 offensive run in the first half, allowing them to establish an 11-point cushion.
As the teams headed into halftime, Toledo held a 41-33 advantage, with Adams leading the Rockets in scoring with 14 points throughout the first period.
