Chloe Kitts cleared to join No. 1 South Carolina after serving academic suspension.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina forward Chloe Kitts is set to return to the lineup for Thursday’s game after being sidelined due to an academic suspension.
Coach Dawn Staley confirmed that all players, including Kitts, are prepared for the home opener against Coppin State.
Kitts had to sit out the Gamecocks’ recent victory over then-No. 9 N.C. State, which ended with a score of 71-57, because of a reported “academic policy issue.”
Staley expressed confidence in Kitts’s improvements, both academically and athletically, stating that the team is proud of her development despite her absence during the contest against the Wolfpack.

Chloe Kitts, a 6-foot-2 junior forward hailing from Oviedo, Florida, played a significant role in South Carolina’s perfect 38-0 national championship run last season, posting an average of 9.1 points and 5.9 rebounds.
She showcased her skills during the season opener on November 4, contributing to a 68-62 win against Michigan by leading the Gamecocks with an impressive 19 points and 14 rebounds.
The anticipation for the upcoming game is high, with Kitts expected to make an impact as the Gamecocks look to continue their successful start to the season.
