SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — In an impressive display of teamwork and individual talent, Vincent Brady II scored 21 points, guiding Missouri State to a commanding 90-61 victory over Missouri Southern State on Monday night.
Brady also contributed six rebounds and three steals, showcasing his all-around abilities for the Bears, who now hold a record of 1-1. Dez White complemented Brady’s performance well, finishing with 16 points after connecting on 6 of 12 shooting, including one 3-pointer. White was perfect from the free-throw line, going 3 for 3. Zaxton King added to the Bears’ scoring effort with 14 points, shooting an efficient 5 of 6 from the field, which included three successful attempts from beyond the arc, along with four steals.
On the other side, Tyrique Brooks led Missouri Southern State with 21 points, putting up a strong fight. His teammate Tyrone Wright contributed with 12 points and six rebounds, while Sam Thompson chipped in with six points.
Missouri State seized control of the game with 14:11 left in the first half and maintained their advantage throughout. White was instrumental during the opening period, leading his team with 14 points as they headed into halftime with a 43-29 lead. The Bears continued to dominate in the second half, with Brady scoring 17 points, helping them close out the game with a 15-point advantage in the latter half.
