HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — In a competitive matchup on Monday night, Dezayne Mingo led the way for Marshall as they overcame Southern Indiana with a score of 77-63.
Mingo showcased his skills, contributing 19 points to the Thundering Herd’s victory, along with three steals to bolster his team’s defensive efforts.
Nate Martin also had a significant impact on the game, scoring 18 points with a shooting percentage of 71%—hitting 5 of 7 attempts from the field, including 2 of 4 from beyond the arc. He also achieved six free throws out of 10 and gathered five rebounds.
Obinna Anochili-Killen added to Marshall’s tally with 14 points, shooting 3 of 7 from the field and converting 8 of 14 free-throw attempts. His performance also included eight rebounds and three steals, contributing greatly to the team’s success.
On the opposing side, Damoni Harrison led the Screaming Eagles with 20 points and pulled down six rebounds.
Teammate Sam Kodi supported the effort with 16 points, while Stephen Olowoniyi put up a well-rounded performance, finishing the game with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks.
