GLENDALE, Ariz. — In a commanding performance, Kyler Murray threw for 266 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for two additional scores, leading the Arizona Cardinals to a decisive 31-6 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday. This win marks the Cardinals’ fourth consecutive triumph, as they established an early lead and maintained control throughout the game.

The Cardinals (6-4) found the end zone on four of their first five possessions, never allowing the Jets to gain an advantage. Murray was exceptionally efficient, completing 22 of his 24 passes, and astonishingly connected on a franchise-record 17 consecutive throws at one point. His distribution was varied, targeting players including James Conner, Trey McBride, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Michael Wilson. Additionally, Murray made an impact on the ground, rushing for 21 yards.

Conner contributed significantly with five receptions totaling 80 yards, while rookie Harrison added his sixth touchdown catch of the season. Arizona’s defense was once again impressive, keeping the opposition from scoring any touchdowns for the third consecutive home game.

Meanwhile, the Jets (3-7) continued to struggle, suffering their sixth loss in seven games and failing to build on the positive momentum from their prior week’s win over the Texans. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 22 of 35 passes for 151 yards, and running back Breece Hall managed 52 rushing yards.

Arizona surged to a 24-6 lead by halftime, capped by a 37-yard field goal from Chad Ryland just as time expired in the second quarter. This half was dominated by the Cardinals, who amassed 239 total yards compared to New York’s meager 85. Murray had already put together a solid first half, completing 17 of 19 passes for 199 yards.

The Jets had an opportunity to narrow the gap early in the third quarter, but a resolute goal-line stand by the Cardinals resulted in a fumble by Rodgers on fourth down, nullifying the scoring chance.

Arizona sealed the game on the following drive: Murray dazzled fans with a tricky 12-yard dash through the Jets’ defense, extending the lead to 31-6 after a precise 10-play, 88-yard drive.

The scoring began with a 1-yard touchdown run by Conner, who earlier in the drive had made a big impact with a short pass that he turned into a 44-yard gain. Murray added another 1-yard rushing touchdown, giving the Cardinals a 14-3 lead at 2:54 left in the first quarter.

One of Murray’s standout drives happened in the second quarter when he took a hard hit from Jets linebacker Quincy Williams on a first-and-10 play at the Jets’ 22. Despite the collision causing his helmet to fly off, Murray responded with a critical completion to McBride and later connected with Harrison on a fade route for a 9-yard touchdown, pushing the score to 21-6 midway through the second period.

New York was only able to manage two field goals in the first half, with Spencer Shrader successfully converting kicks from 25 and 45 yards in his debut for the Jets.

Injury notes included linebacker C.J. Mosley (neck) among five players inactive for the Jets, while defensive back Brandin Echols exited the game with a concussion, and left tackle Tyron Smith (neck) also departed in the first half. The Cardinals, missing starting safety Jalen Thompson (ankle), listed him among six inactives for the day.

Looking ahead, the Jets will return home next Sunday to take on the Indianapolis Colts, while the Cardinals will enjoy a bye week before facing the Seahawks on the road on November 24.
