MUNICH — The wait continues for Carolina Panthers running back Jonathon Brooks to make his NFL appearance, as he has been marked as inactive for the team’s matchup against the New York Giants in Germany on Sunday.

Brooks, who was selected in the second round of the draft, has been recovering from an ACL tear that he sustained last November while playing with the Texas Longhorns. He has yet to take the field since joining the Panthers. His next chance to play will come in two weeks against the Kansas City Chiefs, following the Panthers’ bye week.

In other news from the Panthers, safety Jammie Robinson has returned to the U.S. to address a personal issue as of Sunday morning.

The list of other inactives for the Panthers includes cornerback Shemar Bartholomew, linebacker Charles Harris, left tackle Ikem Ekwonu, tight end Tommy Tremble, and defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy.

On the Giants’ side, kicker Graham Gano has been cleared to play for the first time in over two months after being activated from injured reserve on Saturday.

Gano has not participated in a game since September 15, when he suffered an injury during the opening kickoff against the Washington Commanders.

Greg Joseph, a veteran in the kicking role, filled in for Gano in most of the Giants’ games, but following a recent abdomen injury, Northern Irish rookie kicker Jude McAtamney made his NFL debut in a 27-22 loss to the Commanders last week.

Additionally, wide receiver Darius Slayton did not make the trip to Germany due to being in concussion protocol, and rookie linebacker Darius Muasau was listed as inactive as he dealt with a hamstring injury.

Other Giants who were inactive for the game include safety Jason Pinnock, offensive lineman Jake Kubas, wide receiver Bryce Ford-Wheaton, defensive lineman Jordon Riley, and quarterback Tommy DeVito.
