RICHMOND, Va. — Josh Pascarelli delivered an impressive performance, contributing 22 points as Marist triumphed over Richmond with a final score of 79-72 on Saturday night.
Alongside Pascarelli, who also grabbed six rebounds, Jackson Price had an outstanding game, netting 20 points. Price’s shooting was particularly effective, as he made 7 of 13 overall, including an impressive 6 for 10 from beyond the arc, while also collecting five rebounds and dishing out five assists. Meanwhile, Jadin Collins rounded out the scoring for Marist, finishing with 10 points after hitting 4 of 9 shots.
On the other side, Delonnie Hunt was the standout performer for the Spiders, scoring 27 points and recording two steals. Mikkel Tyne added 10 points and also contributed defensively with two steals. Apostolos Roumoglou had a solid game as well, registering nine points, eight rebounds, and two blocks.
The defining moment for Marist came in the second half when they executed a remarkable 9-0 run that took them from a one-point deficit to a commanding 67-59 lead with just 5:14 remaining in the game. Pascarelli played a crucial role during this stretch, scoring 13 points in the second half to help secure the victory for the Red Foxes.
