AP Election Update: Democrat Julia Brownley secures reelection for U.S. House seat in California’s 26th District

Democratic Representative Julia Brownley has secured her reelection for a seat in the U.S. House, representing California, on Thursday evening.
Brownley, who has a background in marketing and sales, previously served six years in the state Assembly before her initial election to the House in 2012.
Her congressional district covers a small portion of Los Angeles County as well as the majority of Ventura County, which includes cities like Oxnard, Santa Paula, Thousand Oaks, and Moorpark.
In the latest election, she emerged victorious over Republican challenger Michael Koslow.
The results were confirmed with Brownley being declared the winner at 8:31 p.m. EST.
