TULSA, Okla. — On Tuesday, the National Weather Service reported the occurrence of four likely tornadoes, with the possibility of additional ones, in northeastern Oklahoma and northwestern Arkansas. Fortunately, there have been no fatalities or injuries associated with these weather events.

Investigators from the Weather Service were deployed to Muskogee, Sequoyah, and Adair counties in eastern Oklahoma, as well as Benton County in northwestern Arkansas, to verify the reports of tornado activity that took place on Monday night. Meteorologist Joe Sellars confirmed this information through a press release.

As of now, no deaths or serious injuries have been documented in connection with these tornadoes. The recent storms occurred just a day after tornadoes in the Oklahoma City region caused injuries to at least 11 individuals.

Keli Cain, a representative from the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management, mentioned that the process of assessing damage has commenced, although there have not been any significant damages reported so far.

Cain also noted that the department is collaborating with the Oklahoma State Election Board to ensure that the storms did not disrupt any polling locations for Tuesday’s elections. This coordination is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the electoral process amid adverse weather conditions.
