Appearing on The Joe Rogan Experience, Trump faced podcast host Joe Rogan in an epic 3-hour-long podcast sit down.
At one point, Rogan offered an explanation for why the Republican candidate and former President appears so controversial on one hand but popular with broad segments of the population.
He was quick to analyze the former president’s appeal.
Rogan didn’t mince words, saying, “You got so popular with Americans because of the ‘wild s—’ you say.”
Trump to Rogan: ‘Maybe you can tell me?’
In a response, Trump reflected on his straightforward style, saying, “It wasn’t like I was trying. In fact, I don’t know exactly why. Maybe you can tell me.”
Rogan responded with confidence. “You said a lot of wild s—. And then CNN, in all their brilliance, highlighted that wild s—, which made you even more popular. People were tired of the pre-prepared politician talk, and even if they didn’t always agree, they knew that was you. That’s really him.”
Rogan’s words seemed to resonate with Trump, who nodded along, seemingly acknowledging that his off-the-cuff, unfiltered approach may have struck a chord with a public eager for something real – whether they agreed with him or not.
