FALL CITY, WASHINGTON — Authorities discovered five deceased individuals following a shooting inside a residence located southeast of Seattle early Monday morning, leading to the arrest of a teenager, according to police reports.
Emergency services received multiple calls reporting gunfire around 5 a.m. in Fall City, as shared by Mike Mellis, a spokesperson for the King County Sheriff’s Office, during a press conference later that day. Upon arriving, deputies quickly apprehended one teenager and transported another, who had sustained injuries, to a hospital in Seattle. Reports indicate that both of these teens are residents of the home where the incident occurred.
Upon entering the property, deputies encountered the bodies of five individuals. Among the deceased, two were adults and three were identified as young teenagers. The identities of those involved have not yet been disclosed.
“The discovery of the bodies suggests that we are managing a highly significant crime scene,” Mellis stated. He indicated that the shooting may involve family members, though it remains unclear how they were connected. Furthermore, he reassured the public that there was no immediate danger to the community, adding, “I have no reason to think that there will be any additional arrests.”
A neighbor informed local news that a couple resided in the home along with their five children. Expressing her shock, Lynne Trowern told a media outlet, “I’m just in total shock, I keep bursting into tears.” Sheriff Patricia Cole-Tindall also shared her distress over the tragic event, describing her feelings as “very sad, very disturbed” upon hearing about the shooting.
