LONDON — The New England Patriots’ leading rusher, Rhamondre Stevenson, was declared active for the matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at Wembley Stadium, following a foot injury that kept him out of the previous game.
Stevenson has recorded a total of 356 rushing yards off 77 attempts this season, finding the end zone three times. Additionally, the fourth-year running back has made 13 receptions for 37 yards during the campaign.
Rookie wide receiver Javon Baker did not participate in the game, as he missed Friday’s practice due to an illness.
Among the other players inactive for New England were wide receiver Tyquan Thornton, outside linebacker Sione Takitaki, quarterback Joe Milton, offensive tackle Vederian Lowe, and defensive end Jeremiah Pharms.
On the other side, Jaguars running back Travis Etienne was ruled out with a hamstring injury. Last week, he managed only three carries for a disappointing -1 yard in a lopsided 35-16 defeat against the Chicago Bears.
Defensive lineman Maason Smith was also unavailable, despite the Jaguars having traded defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris to the Seattle Seahawks just prior to the game.
The Jaguars’ additional inactives comprised defensive end Myles Cole, offensive lineman Javon Foster, offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen, and defensive tackle Esezi Otomewo.
In a positive development for Jacksonville, cornerback Tyson Campbell was deemed active after being added to the roster on Saturday. He had been sidelined for the last five games due to a hamstring injury.
