MINNEAPOLIS — Rookie guard Caitlin Clark has added yet another achievement to her impressive debut season by being named to the All-WNBA team on Wednesday.

The Indiana Fever’s standout became the first rookie to earn this distinction since Candace Parker accomplished it in 2008, marking her as only the fifth rookie in history to be honored in this way, joining legends such as Sue Bird, Tamika Catchings, and Diana Taurasi.

A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces and Minnesota’s Napheesa Collier both received unanimous selections for the first team. They were complemented by Breanna Stewart from New York and Alyssa Thomas of Connecticut to form a dynamic positionless five-member squad.

Wilson, who was recognized as the league’s unanimous Most Valuable Player, secured a position on the first team for the third straight year and the fourth time in total. Meanwhile, Collier has made the All-WNBA team three times and was selected to the first team for the second consecutive season.

Clark garnered a remarkable 52 first-team votes, landing on 66 out of the 67 submitted ballots from a panel of national media. She impressed this season by averaging a league-leading 8.4 assists per game, alongside 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals. Her impressive performance included draining 122 shots from beyond the arc, a league best, and she played a key role in leading the Fever to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

The New York team featured three players among the top ten in the two teams, with Sabrina Ionescu and Jonquel Jones being honored as second-team members. They were joined by Phoenix’s Kahleah Copper, Seattle’s Nneka Ogwumike, and Dallas’ Arike Ogunbowale, further highlighting the strong competition in the league this season.
