MINNEAPOLIS — A new women’s basketball 3-on-3 league named Unrivaled is set to have its games aired on TNT and their associated sports networks.
The league has entered into a multi-year agreement with the network, which will broadcast over 45 games during its inaugural season starting in January. Viewers can expect to see matchups three nights a week, with games on both Mondays and Fridays featured on TNT, and Saturday games airing on truTV.

The start date for games is January 17, with Miami serving as the playing venue.
“Our TNT Sports portfolio is focused on premium live sports, and this media partnership with Unrivaled solidifies our commitment to enhancing the variety of top-tier women’s sports programming for our audience,” remarked Luis Silberwasser, Chairman & CEO of TNT Sports. “This collaboration also allows us to contribute to the ongoing growth of women’s basketball.”

This league includes 30 elite women basketball players organized into six teams, co-founded by renowned players Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.
“Having a major network back us, especially in our first year, speaks volumes about the current momentum and growth of women’s basketball,” Collier stated during an interview before a WNBA Finals game.

Players in the new league will earn salaries in six figures, which was a significant factor for many athletes who have traditionally played overseas during the offseason to enhance their earnings from the WNBA. The average salary for a WNBA player hovers around $130,000, with the highest-ranking stars potentially earning upwards of $500,000, including salaries, marketing agreements, bonuses, and participation in in-season tournaments. Additionally, many players will have a stake in the league.

The Unrivaled league is scheduled to last for eight weeks, with the 30 players divided among six teams. Each squad will compete in two games per week on a court that is approximately two-thirds the size of a standard WNBA court. The teams will remain the same throughout the season.
