Joe Burrow scores on a touchdown run as the Bengals’ defense secures a 17-7 victory over the Giants.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Joe Burrow showcased his running ability with an impressive 47-yard touchdown on the very first drive, guiding the Cincinnati Bengals to a crucial 17-7 win against the New York Giants on Sunday night.

Evan McPherson added a pivotal 37-yard field goal in the third quarter. This came after he faced disappointment the previous week when a botched snap prevented him from making a potentially game-winning kick. Late in the game, Chase Brown stepped up with a 30-yard rushing touchdown, punctuating a comeback effort with just 1:52 left on the clock, despite a previous fumble that momentarily threatened the drive.

For the Giants, who now hold a record of 2-4, rookie Tyrone Tracy managed to score a 1-yard rushing touchdown. However, their struggles at home continued, as they remain winless in three attempts and have only logged one touchdown in those games. The Bengals’ defense, despite entering the match ranked 31st in the league for scoring defense, managed to hold the Giants at bay effectively.

New York had a tough time gaining any offensive momentum, with four punts during the first half. In the second half, the team failed to convert on fourth downs twice, and kicker Greg Joseph was unable to capitalize on scoring opportunities, missing two field goals.
