Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush was the standout player once again as he guided Eintracht Frankfurt to a 4-2 victory over Holstein Kiel in the Bundesliga on Sunday. This win marked Frankfurt’s fourth consecutive victory in the league following an initial loss to Borussia Dortmund. Marmoush, who had never scored in four consecutive league matches before, showcased his talent by scoring two goals and providing assists for the other two goals.
Marmoush, at 25 years old, opened the scoring in the 25th minute and then assisted Igor Matanovi? for his first league goal shortly after Kiel’s equalizer. Despite Shuto Machino scoring twice for Kiel, Marmoush found the back of the net again in the 65th minute, and later set up Brazilian defender Tuta to secure the win for Frankfurt.
With this victory, Eintracht Frankfurt is now just one point behind Bundesliga leader Bayern Munich after five rounds of matches. Bayern Munich had previously dropped points in a 1-1 draw against defending champions Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday. The remaining match of the round was scheduled to be between Hoffenheim and Werder Bremen later on Sunday.
Omar Marmoush’s impressive performance has been instrumental in Eintracht Frankfurt’s recent success in the Bundesliga, and the team will be hoping to maintain their winning streak in the upcoming fixtures. The competition in the league remains fierce, with top teams battling for points in each match to secure their positions in the standings.
