Wright threw four touchdown passes, including a crucial 7-yard pass to Armone Harris to close the gap to 37-35 with 4:12 left in the game. Leonardo Cabrera sealed the win with a 55-yard field goal as time expired, capping an impressive 11-play, 61-yard drive orchestrated by Wright.
At halftime, Bethune-Cookman held a commanding 34-14 lead over Clark Atlanta. However, a resilient second-half performance by Wright and his teammates saw them claw their way back into the game.
Wright excelled in the passing game, completing 30 of 49 attempts for 374 yards. Receiver Jamal Jones stood out with 10 catches for 127 yards, while Harris contributed six catches for 94 yards and three touchdowns, even throwing a 5-yard TD pass to Delancey Tolliver in the first half.
