Richmond initially took a 12-3 lead after Aziz Foster-Powell’s 8-yard touchdown run. However, Wofford fought back and closed the gap to 12-10 just before halftime when Odom found J.T. Smith Jr. for a 10-yard touchdown as time expired in the first half.
Wofford’s Kyle Watkins had a remarkable game with seven receptions for 133 yards. On the other side, Richmond’s quarterback, Kyle Wickersham, rushed for 100 yards on 15 carries but struggled with his passing game, throwing for only 97 yards and getting intercepted three times.
