Over the weekend, a burglary was reported at a campaign office in Ashburn, Virginia, leased by the Trump for President 2024 campaign and serving as the headquarters of the Virginia 10th District Republican Committee. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident to determine if anything was stolen. The burglary was reported late Sunday evening, and authorities have surveillance footage showing an individual in dark clothing and a cap carrying a backpack on the premises. The investigation is ongoing to identify the suspect and ascertain the motive behind the break-in, as well as to determine if any items were taken or left behind. Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman stated that it is uncommon for a political campaign or party office to be targeted in this manner, and they are committed to resolving the case. The Trump campaign and 10th District Republican Committee have not yet responded to requests for comment.
