Authorities in Thailand have reported the discovery of six bodies in a high-end hotel in Bangkok, with a suspicion of poisoning being the cause. The deceased individuals are believed to be two Vietnamese Americans and four Vietnamese nationals, as indicated by the Foreign Ministry of Thailand.
The Thai newspaper Matichon published images showing law enforcement officials at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, where the deaths occurred. The police were alerted by hotel staff in the late afternoon, leading to the discovery of five bodies inside a room and one outside the premises.
Upon investigation, it was noted that the bodies displayed symptoms like foaming at the mouth, according to a source from the Lumpini police station who chose to remain anonymous due to disclosure restrictions. Although Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin visited the site in the evening, no further details were disclosed to the assembled press.
The incident at the luxury hotel has raised concerns and left authorities and the public seeking further information on the tragic discovery.
