Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner spent Thanksgiving in Los Angeles volunteering at The Midnight Mission’s annual Thanksgiving Street Fair with their three children, Violet Anne, 18, Seraphina Rose, 15, and Samuel, 12. The event, aimed at providing meals and entertainment for the homeless in Skid Row, highlights the family’s commitment to giving back during the holiday season.

The former couple, both 52, donned matching aprons and joined the organization’s CEO, David Prentice, and other volunteers, including Sarah Paulson and Sasha Farber. The Midnight Mission praised the Affleck-Garner family on Instagram for their kindness and dedication, calling their involvement a reminder of the true meaning of Thanksgiving.
Affleck’s ongoing support for the cause
Affleck, who has supported The Midnight Mission for years, first connected with the organization through a fellow parent at his children’s school. Reflecting on his involvement, Affleck shared with PEOPLE in 2020, “I get a lot out of giving a little bit of my time to other people. It’s a really powerful thing to connect with people who are struggling and want to make their lives better.”
Celebrating amidst personal and professional commitments
While currently filming his new project RIP with longtime friend Matt Damon, Affleck took a break to celebrate Thanksgiving with his family. The holiday also marked his first since his wife Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce earlier this year. Despite personal challenges, a source told PEOPLE that Affleck is “very happy with life” and cherishes moments with his children.
