Driver arrested for impaired driving following pickup truck collision with Arizona restaurant, causing injuries to 25 people

In Apache Junction, Arizona, a vehicle crashed into an Elks Lodge restaurant, resulting in 25 injuries, as reported by authorities on Sunday. City police noted that following the incident on Saturday around 7 p.m., 10 of the injured individuals were transported to hospitals, while 15 others were treated on-site for minor injuries. The injuries sustained by those taken to hospitals were deemed non-life-threatening, ranging from deep cuts to fractures, as per the police report. The driver involved in the crash was apprehended, with authorities citing alcohol as a contributing factor. The driver’s name was not disclosed as of Sunday.

Officer Darrin Hatch of the Apache Junction Police mentioned that a 911 call was made by a patron at the Elks Lodge, reporting that a man had exited the bar and entered a truck before the collision. Apache Junction is situated approximately 36 miles (58 kilometers) west of Phoenix.
