0

Three individuals lost their lives in a house fire in a rural area northeast of Seattle, and authorities are on the lookout for a missing pickup truck following the incident, as per police statements. The Mount Vernon Police Department reported that the two-story residence was completely destroyed in the fire that occurred on Friday morning in Concrete, a small town.
The victims have been located, and due to significant damage to the site, the recovery process has been challenging, police mentioned. The Skagit County Medical Examiner will divulge the identities of the victims once they have been identified. One of the victims was an employee of Skagit County, although details about their role were not provided, except that the individual was not employed by the county sheriff’s office.
Multiple agencies, including the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, are still processing the fire scene, and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The authorities received reports of the fire around 10:25 a.m. on Friday and despite locating several victims, the collapsed structure has made the recovery operation extensive.
Authorities are enlisting the public’s support in locating a missing blue 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck from the fire scene and encourage witnesses or individuals with relevant information to contact Mount Vernon police. There is currently no clear connection between the truck and the fire. The town of Concrete is situated about 96 miles northeast of Seattle.
