Authorities in Los Angeles have recently shared photos of three suspects and the stolen getaway car involved in the tragic killing of former “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor. Wactor was fatally shot in downtown Los Angeles while he caught thieves in the act of stealing the catalytic converter from his vehicle. The Los Angeles Police Department released these images in a plea for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects.
The images depict a stolen 2018 black Infiniti Q50 with a tan interior, used as the getaway vehicle, along with three individuals seen outside the car. According to the police alert, Wactor was shot in the chest by a suspect identified as “suspect 1,” who has distinctive tattoos above the left eye and on the right cheek. The tragic incident occurred at around 3:20 a.m. on May 25.
Scarlett Wactor, the mother of the 37-year-old actor, recounted to ABC7 that her son had just left work at a rooftop bar with a colleague when he noticed someone near his vehicle and assumed it was being towed. Without warning, one of the suspects wearing a mask opened fire at Wactor. The assailants quickly fled the scene in the stolen Infiniti.
Johnny Wactor, recognized for his portrayal of Brando Corbin on the ABC soap opera from 2020 to 2022, had also appeared in various films and television series such as “Station 19,” “NCIS,” “Westworld,” and the video game “Call of Duty: Vanguard.” This senseless act has shocked his colleagues and fans alike, prompting authorities to seek justice for the beloved actor’s tragic loss.
