Faith Kipyegon from Kenya achieved a new world record in the women’s 1,500 meters at the Diamond League track and field event in Paris. She crossed the finish line in 3:49.04, beating her previous record of 3:49.11 set in Italy the previous year. The 30-year-old athlete has an impressive track record, being a two-time Olympic gold medalist in the 1,500 meters, winning in both Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and Tokyo in 2021, and also a four-time World Champion.
