There was a tragic incident in northern Kentucky early on Saturday where four individuals lost their lives and three others sustained injuries in a shooting at a residence in Florence. The suspect responsible for the shooting also passed away after fleeing the scene and engaging in a car chase with the police, which resulted in the suspect’s vehicle landing in a ditch.
Upon authorities’ arrival at the home in Florence around 2:50 a.m., they discovered a total of seven victims of the shooting. Regrettably, four individuals had already succumbed to their injuries, while three others were promptly transported to a hospital in Cincinnati in critical condition.
The suspect, who was later identified, attempted to escape from the police and led them on a pursuit that concluded when the suspect’s vehicle careened off the road and landed in a ditch. The suspect sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Law enforcement officials have confirmed that the suspect acted alone in committing this heinous act and have assured the public that there is no further threat. At the moment, additional information regarding the incident has not been disclosed.
Florence is situated approximately 12 miles (19 kilometers) south of Cincinnati, Ohio.
