No drought anymore: California has 100 billion gallons of water in reserves

Wonderful news for Californians: There is no drought danger anymore – at least for this year.

The heavy rains this winter and spring sent filled all reservoirs and the LA County managed to capture and store nearly 100 billion gallons of water.

Exactly 96,3 billions of water were captured til today – enough to supply 2,4 million people for a year, this would be one-fourth of the countrys population

“This really has been a super year”, says mark Pestrella, director of LA County Public Works.
